- We now have an official fanclub on Facebook where some of our more barmy customers are going online and chatting, feel free to join in the fun.
- The Stirrup Cup was nominated for Best Pub of the Year at the recent Stroud Life Awards - and we sent along a beverage of beauties to the evening ceremony. Plus this month we have a brilliant new chef joining our ranks. Jack Gedd is a fully qualified, creative young chef who specialises in traditional home cooked, seasonal fayre. With a dedication to buying local produce which is cooked to order, you will find no 'ping and ding' in our kitchen!
- We had a cracking review recently in the Stroud Life, which awarded us with 4 out of 5 stars - pretty fantastic we thought!
"We enjoyed a pleasant visit and were treated to good food and a warm welcome..." said Victoria Temple of Stroud Life, "We ordered a plate of humus, olives and pitta bread to share as a starter and were pleasantly surprised when this arrived. The humus was clearly homemade and much nicer than shop-bought stuff."
- Fame at last! Mo, our Landlady, and our Chef were interviewed on BBC Radio Glos by Mark Cummings (their answer to Terry Wogan) on Tues 24th Feb, discussing pancakes and doing a demo! We do have a recording of this but it is far to technical to get it onto the website, so if you are desperate to hear it you will have to pay us a visit!
