Whilst they say that jazz and blues go together, Mike takes the 'Blues' a little too literally. The Jazz, well yes, he plays bass for the fabulous jazz quartet Tequila Jazz, who are regulars at the Daneway Music Festival. The Blues however seems to be Mike's affinity with water in one way or another.

For example, his most memorable gig was when they played the London-Brighton Commercial Vehicle Run on the top deck of a 1926 Open Top London Bus - in the rain!

Plus his company, IONEX Ltd, is an environmental innovation company developing greener and cleaner ways of treating water.

Of course, when at the bar this attraction to water suddenly disappears - nothing quite surpasses his pint of Doombar, and that is definitely more potent than water!
